In the mountains of the Coffee Axis, in the department of Caldas, you can find La Cabaña vicinity. There, hidden among landscapes and water springs, Finca Romelia is located, a place that for over a century has been owned by several generations of the Arango family. It is currently a part of the family heritage of the Londoño Arango family who has decided to share with travelers the unique and wonderful value of this land.

FINCA ROMELIA, COLORS OF LIFE, is a family tourism project born of the love for nature of José and Marisa. They have dedicated more than half of their lives to the agricultural sector as a business and to the collection, study and conservation of orchids among other plants as a hobby. They have done this without leaving aside the commitment to the restoration of native flora and the preservation of wildlife.

Their immense passion allows the doors of the farm to be opened today so that travelers can get to know this paradise. On the farm, visitors can take pleasure in observing more than 840 species of orchids for an average of 8,000 orchid plants, an interesting variety of bonsai and around 216 species of birds, as well as citrus and avocado production crops. All this accompanied by a spectacular view that allows you to observe the imposing mountain ranges and the different landscape compositions.

Finca Romelia offers the option to stay in their main house and visit us during the day to perform various activities around orchids and birds.

Without a doubt the perfect place to enjoy the specific nature of the Coffee Axis.

I was at Finca Romelia for a birding day-trip recently. The birds were plentiful and quite a variety. What really stood out was the wonderful hospitality of the couple who own the finca and their beautiful orchids. Well worth a visit.

Veritable moment privilégié hors des sentiers battus. Les propriétaires vous accueillent en personnes et vous font visiter cette riche collection d’orchidées. A faire absolument.
